.Celtic woman LTD Screws fans once again.

Hello people.
I apologize for not posting in so long. I really didn't have much to say... Until now.
For years now, I have been involved in graphic art. I have been into graphic art for many years. And I love what I do very much. I have taken it upon myself, to on occasion try to do something nice for those in need.
As some of you know, I have had the honor of creating a few portraits for a charity that after investigating, have found out was a fantastic group, that helps out a great many that really need it.
I thought that having this limited ability in art that I do have, why not on occasion try to do something nice with it, to help those in a worse place in the world, than I am.
As a result, over the past few years, I have had the honor of creating portraits for a wonderful, very talented & very dear lady in a music group called Celtic Woman. Her name is Mairead Nesbitt.
I have had the honor to make several portraits of her, that have been raffled off, and all the money raised from these raffles, was then donated to her charity of choice (Oxfam Ireland Unwrapped.) a total now of over $7500.00 U.S.
However, in this latest raffle, which she has fully endorsed, signed the portrait as you will see in these photos below, there have been some dark forces, attempting to interfere. The identities of whom are not yet known to me exactly. But I do intend on finding out. I do have several theories.
Below is a letter that will soon be sent to the organization responsible for this interference. I do intend on getting to the bottom of this mess.
Even if I have to present a very long intricate story to the news media. That may happen soon. Below is the letter being presented to Celtic Woman LTD. More news & updates to follow soon.

To all at Celtic Woman LTD.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Glenn Skinner. A long time friend to Ms. Mairead Nesbitt, and associate of her fan forum web site. “The Mairead Nesbitt Fan Forum.”
I am Known on her forum, as “Glenn A.K.A. The Rotten Rebel. It has been brought to my attention , and to Mairead herself by now, that Celtic Woman LTD. Has denied the request made by those on her fan forum, to present her with a copy of a check, a rather large donation of money that is to be donated to “Oxfam Ireland Unwrapped.” A charity drive made in her name.
This charity drive, and the money raised, was the result of MY creating a portrait of her, that was signed and endorsed by Mairead, and was then raffled off, on her forum web site in her honor.
I personally, would like to know from you, Celtic Woman LTD. the reasoning behind this request denial. I have sent notice to her, in regards to this incident as well.
This project that we have done for her, in no way has anything to do with you at Celtic Woman LTD. A few moments of her time is all that was requested.
I believe that certain members of the news media would like to hear of this story, and the history of past request denials by those of you at Celtic Woman LTD.
Like for example, all U.S. PBS T.V. Stations, CNN, Based in Atlanta, even the Irish Independent news paper, just for starters.
And the general public might also be interested to know why is it, that a company like Celtic Woman LTD. would deny one of its performers, the right to accept an honorary check for a charity drive that has been made in their name.
And why it is treating the fans that spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on this very talented group in this economy, buying the tickets, the t shirts, the programs, the CD’s and the DVD’s, in this way.
I do think it might make a wonderful story for the news media to get hold of. Don’t you? In this economy. All this seems so counter productive for any company to be doing. One might believe there is something behind all of it, that needs to be known. I welcome your thoughts on all this as well.
Enclosed, is a photo of Mairead signing of the portrait for her charity drive. And yes, I am in the photo with her. The guy in a wheelchair.
I await your reply and explanation.

Sincerely and respectfully yours

The truth about YOUR government

I don't post often. That's for sure, unless I have something that I believe is important to post.
For so long now, I have been so pissed off at out government, at our system. I still am. But this guy Mr. George Carlin, summed it up about our government, about our system as best it could be. A comedian. Someone you normally wouldn't take seriously. Well this guy is one of the few that was on the ball.
Read on...

"Forget the politicians...
The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything.
They own all the important land.
They own & control the corporations. They’ve long since bought, and paid for the senate, thee congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets, and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all the news and information you get to hear.
They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying. Lobbying, to get what they want.
Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves, and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking.
They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. That’s right.
They don’t want people that are smart enough to sit around the kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by the system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that.
You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines, and do the paper work. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs, with lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it. And now they’re coming for your Social security money.
They want your fuckin’ retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on wall street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later 'couse they own this fuckin' place. It’s a big club and you aint in it.
You and I are not in the big club. By the way, it’s the same big club to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy.
The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good, honest, hard working people – white collar, blue collar. It doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on.
Good honest working people continue- these are people of modest means- continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about you.
They don’t care about you at all. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care.
That’s what the owners count on/ the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white & blue that’s being jammed up our assholes every day, because the owners of this country know the truth: It’s called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it."

George Carlin (May 12th 1937 to June 22 2008.
Thank you Sir.

Politically speaking, this is the truth. I am a Democrat. And I will tell you why. Republicans have always lied to us far more so than the Dems. And here is historic proof to back my claim.
I will go back as far as Richard M. Nixon to start. Faced impeachment for the Watergate scandal but was pardoned.
Ronald Reagan, faced impeachment on a number of topics, including Iran Contra, however conveniently, came down with Alzheimer’s Disease, and could not remember enough things when confronted on many matters at the end of his second term in office.
G. Bush Sr. This is when our economy started its gradual demise into what it is now. This man’s economic policies are what set us up for what is and will become the next great financial depression. Not just for this country, but the entire world market. Followed my George bush Jr.
The last nail in out economic coffin. Several weeks after George Bush Jr. s last term in office, is when the structure of this nation’s economy began the collapse of not only this countries economy, but bring down most of the rest of the world as well, due to the fact that our economy was attached to, and dependent upon in so many ways, the economy of other countries Our economic collapse, is in turn bringing down the rest, like a house of cards.
And, unfortunately, it’s not over yet. What we have all been witnessing, is only the 1st half of what will be a double dip in this depression.
Now, republican extremists will of course deny everything I have written and say its all hog wash. But the writing is now on the wall my friends.
The republicans around me are trying to shovel the BS that it is all Obama’s fault. My answer to them is as follow...
You are just pissing on my shoe, and telling me it’s my fault. Well no, it’s not the Dems. Fault. So shove it! And like it or not. We are all now just going to have to go on this ride together.
Suffice to say… Where are we going? What’s smells like its burning? And why am I stuffed in this hand basket? ...Enough said.

You've probably heard the news: Social Security recipients aren't getting a bump up in their benefits next year. The Social Security Administration recently announced that because inflation has been flat, there will be no cost of living adjustment for seniors.

Whether or not you think that's a good thing depends a lot on your age. Seniors are upset, but younger workers have reason to celebrate the news: Fiscally conservative choices now could mean a stronger system later. No they do not. because before they see a dime, Social Security Will Be Insolvent.

There are plenty of reasons for 20 and 30-somethings to worry about the future of their Social Security payments.

Yes. Reason 1. Social Security will be insolvent by that time, due to our government borrowing from it to the point where it will be so in debt that it cannot possibly pay anything to anyone. Not just senior citizens, every American. They are borrowing from a system that was when created, made in such a way that it was not to be ever borrowed from. And so ordered.

But the greed of our government, rewrote the laws, so that they could. Now YOUR money is in the hands of your government. Not in yours. And if you don’t do something to stop them, YOU will not have any money. YOU will be broke, out on the street, homeless & starving, and living from small hand outs.
Sort of like they are in other (Socialized Countries) Socialized, I said. Yes… So many now, are talking about (Socialization) of our medicine. Bad Idea.

Next they will socialize the rest of YOUR government. And YOU are not doing anything about it. “Oh! It’s in the hands of our government now. What can we do? Boo hoo!!”

Well people of this country. You are not helpless. Ever hear of the revolution? Well, it’s time for another one, weather you believe it or not. Our country is NOT, and has NOT been in the hands of the people for a very long time. And needs to be put back into the hands of the people NOW!

I will not say that it’s the republicans that are the bad guys. I will not say that it is the Democrats that are the bad guys. It’s both sides pointing the finger at ea h other, and WE THE PEOPLE PAYING THEIR SALARIES WHILE THEY BICKER. .How long are we going to allow them to do that, before we say, “Enough is enough?”

It’s time people. Time for a new revolution. A revolution, where the people take back what so many fathers, sons & daughters died to protect. Now… If you are not upset enough, read the rest of this report. More to follow.
Continuing…

The Social Security trust fund will start taking in less than it pays out around 2016, and by 2037, as today's 30-somethings start thinking about retiring, it's scheduled to run out. At that point, if nothing changes, the benefits will shrink to about three-quarters of what they are now because only money that is then being paid into the system will be paid out. (Yes. Paid out to government officials that illegally dipped into this fund in the 1st place. )

Workers have clearly gotten the message that they're largely on their own: Just-released numbers from Charles Schwab reveal that almost half of the general population say they do not plan on counting on Social Security as a source of income in retirement.

The uncertainty over future benefits has led to a debate over whether the current budget and entitlement structure is fair to young people, who may never see all of the money that they pay into the system. (Social Security benefits are based on a person's average earnings over his lifetime and depend on the age of retirement; the current maximum benefit received is $2,346 per month for those who retire at age sixty-six.)

"They should be upset, and concerned that Social Security is structured in a way to give them less than they might otherwise receive. They'll certainly get less than their parents and grandparents, and they're stuck in a position where they are either going to pay higher taxes or get lower benefits, or, what's worse, both," says David John, senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation.

As Andrew Biggs of the American Enterprise Institute puts it, "There's no way Social Security is as good a deal for a 20-year-old as it is for a retiree today."

The AARP, which represents retired Americans, has a different perspective. It is quick to point out that there is such great political support for Social Security that it is not in danger of slipping away. The organization released a statement opposing the cost-of-living freeze after the Social Security Administration made its announcement late last week.

While the AARP is right to point out that Social Security isn't going anywhere, it's possible that it will undergo major changes in the coming decades. Here are some of the possible shifts:

Higher taxes, especially for high-earners. Social Security is funded through payroll taxes, which are currently capped at $106,800. That means workers don't pay Social Security taxes on income above that amount. Congress could raise that limit.

A higher retirement age. Changing the retirement age to 68 from 65, instead of the 67 it's currently scheduled to reach, could mean a reduction in benefits for younger workers since they'd have to wait longer to collect their payments. If premiums or Medicare-related taxes are increased or benefits are reduced, that would also have a major negative impact on young workers' retirement finances.

A new government-backed investment plan. Some academics, including Alicia Munnell, director of Boston College's Center for Retirement Research, have proposed an altogether different method of risk management--one where the government bears the brunt of the risk. She imagines a new kind of guaranteed account, where the government would guarantee that beneficiaries receive a certain rate of return on their investments.

[Visit the U.S. News Personal Finance site for more insight and money management tips.]

If the market plunged before they retired, then Uncle Sam would make up the difference. If a relatively modest guaranteed rate of return were chosen, such as 6 percent, then she says the government would rarely have to step in, so the cost would be minimal. Another option is to guarantee just a 2 or 3 percent return but to allow investors to keep any higher return provided by the market. If the government found itself needing to pony up during bad periods like the current one, then, Munnell says, "it can take on more debt and spread the losses over several generations," instead of forcing the soon-to-be retirees to absorb most of the pain.

I’m sorry, but that’s BULLSHIT!
If the new (Socialized government has it their way, You will just be their work slave. That’s all. Poverty stricken, homeless, out on the street. Not allowed anything in your pocket. No savings, no retirement. NOTHING! Standing in the bread lines, just like you see in the former Soviet Union. That’s what this (Socialized) crap is. The medicine is only just the beginning people. That is why it has to stop NOW!)

Regardless of what changes, one thing is certain: Young workers need to save more on their own, because government programs are unlikely to comfortably fund a relaxing couple decades by the beach.
( More like not at all for that matter. Unless we the people, stop the madness. You have been warned.)

A New Year.

Wow! It's been a long time since I last posted on my blog. Well, it's a new year. So many things have happened since September. I had hoped that in my new years resolution, that this next year would be better. sad to say, some events of the past few days have led me to believe that it may be even more difficult.
I don't know why I have a blog, no one reads it. Perhaps it's one of those things in which I can vent my feelings.
Well, anyway. In other news, I think I may have found someone. I have has a rough time with them as of late.
I have many questions on my mind. I have been hurt before. I have become someone that does not share my heart with anyone because of events of distant past. So, I am guarded. And as of this moment, undecided. She is a wonderful lady. But so many barriers seem to be in the way at the moment.
I don't like living a complicated life. Never did. But, I will be patient with this just to see what happens.
There are a great many things I need to get started on now. I will probably be busy for quite some time, and forget about this blog again. Wish me luck. I hope that things turn out better than they look right now.

Updates and some thoughts...

In recent days, I read some interesting news... Nothing of much significance in the world, but to me, quite wonderful in deed.
I just find is so amazing sometimes that the little things in life, can so often mean so much.
Like reading that someone who is dear to my heart, and has greatly, and so positively impacted my life, is happy.
Again, news not of great significance in the world...
But for me, this news brings me much joy.
Other news in my life, is that there is now yet another portrait finished for the November trip to New Mexico. This trip should be quite exciting in deed.

Looking to the horizon...

Sunday, Aug. 22nd. 2009
Just writing down my thoughts about the things I see, up & coming.
Just finished a new portrait for Chloe, fulfilling a promise I made. More to myself than to her.
I showed her a blurry photo of a portrait I tried to have delivered. She said she never received it.
I thought well, a promise is a promise. So, today, I just finished it. I think it is far better than the previous endeavor.
My hope is that she will like what I have done. This of course, won't happen until Nov. Time sure is going fast for me these days, and in some ways not fast enough.
It seems harder to do the work I have been doing for so long these days too. My eyes aren't what they used to be.
But art work is still my passion. It pains me deeply that sooner than later, I will have to stop. More, when I have the time.
